UMC's fab in Japan unaffected by strong earthquake: TrendForce

A factory owned by Taiwan-based contract chipmaker United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC) in Japan was not affected by a strong earthquake that hit the country Monday afternoon, according to market information advisory firm TrendForce Corp.
