Taiwan shares end above 17,600 points as Fed turns dovish

Shares in Taiwan moved more than 180 points higher and closed above the 17,600-point mark, a new high since March 2022, in the wake of the Fed turning dovish and U.S. markets rallying following the conclusion of a policy meeting overnight, dealers said.
