TSMC Q3 net profit up over 16% from Q2; gross margin beats estimate

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) reported on Thursday that its net profit for the third quarter rose more than 16 percent from a quarter earlier with its gross margin also beating the company's previous forecast.
