Rise in overtime work hours positive for manufacturing sector: DGBAS

Overtime work hours in the local manufacturing sector rose for the second consecutive month in August, a positive sign and possible indication of recovery in the sector which has been hammered by weakening global demand, the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) said Friday.
