Taiwan Star Telecom Corp. (T Star) has been slapped with a record NT$16 million (US$506,000) fine for weak internal controls that enabled three men to obtain thousands of Taiwanese phone numbers and sell them to Chinese fraud rings, the National Communications Commission (NCC) said Wednesday.
