Manufacturing activity remained in contraction mode in July

Manufacturing activity in Taiwan remained in contraction mode in July as an index gauging the condition of the local manufacturing sector reversed a brief rebound seen a month earlier, the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) said Tuesday.
