Patent applications in Taiwan decline for third straight year

The number of new patent applications filed in Taiwan by domestic and foreign entities last year fell by an annual 5.6 percent to 73,627, the third consecutive annual drop, Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) said Tuesday.
