Elpida bankruptcy filing a mixed bag for local memory chip shares

Shares of local dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chip makers were mixed Wednesday morning on news that Japanese DRAM vendor Elpida Memory Inc. has filed for bankruptcy protection in a district court in Tokyo, dealers said.
