Acer climbs to No. 2 PC vendor in Asia Pacific

Taiwan's Acer Inc. became the second-largest  PC vendor in the Asia-Pacific region, excluding Japan, in the second  quarter of 2011, as the company managed to sort out its integration  issues with its retail partner Founder Group in China, according to a  report released Wednesday by the International Data Corp. (IDC).
