Mercury at 38.5 degrees in Taipei for second consecutive day

Temperatures in Taipei reached 38.5 degrees Celsius Thursday for the second day in a row, the first time this year that the capital has seen a temperature reading of over 38 degrees for two consecutive days, the Central Weather Bureau said.
