Taiwan stepping up efforts to control rabies

Captured stray dogs across Taiwan will be vaccinated against rabies within a month and free rabies shots are being offered to pets as part of government efforts to prevent the spread of the fatal disease that has recently re-emerged in Taiwan after about 50 years.
