Taipei, Aug. 21 (CNA) Taiwan's Yang Kun-pi (楊昆弼) and Lin Yi-chun (林怡君) won a silver medal in the mixed trap shooting event with a score of 42, one point behind Lebanese Alain Moussa and Ray Bassil, at the Asian Games in Indonesia on Tuesday.

The Taiwanese pair scored 146 to finish first in the qualifying round, setting a qualifying world record score, according to the Asian Games website.

In the final round, however, they were bested by the Lebanese pair who placed third with 143 in the qualifier, and had to settle for second place.

A day earlier, Yang won a gold medal in the men's trap shooting, hitting 48 of his 50 targets and reaching a world record set by Alberto Fernandez of Spain in 2017.
