`1992 consensus' recognized as key to cross-strait peace: MAC

Taiwan has reaffirmed that the "1992 consensus" and "one China, different interpretations" are the key to institutionalized talks and interactions between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait after Chinese leaders made similar remarks stressing Beijing will adhere to the consensus as a political foundation.
