COST OF LIVING/CPI growth hits 8-month high, boosted by higher food prices

Growth of Taiwan's consumer price index (CPI) reached its highest level in eight months in September in the wake of food prices being pushed up by agricultural losses caused by a typhoon, the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) said Thursday.
