Floating books to remote areas
This shelf of books is at an unusual location - a train station. Even more unusual - they’re free for anyone to take and there’s no obligation to return them.
It’s part of a new campaign to encourage book donate donations and reading. The project was launched by Taiwan’s Ministry of Transportation and Communications to make good books available in less developed and remote areas. Plans call for five transportation hubs in five regions to accept donated books. Any book featuring this sticker can be taken free of charge.
