President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文), who doubles as chairwoman of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), issued a directive Wednesday that the party should send a delegation to observe firsthand South Korea's presidential election in May to replace ousted President Park Geun-hye.
