KMT apologizes to 'ill-treated' presidential candidate Hung

The ruling Kuomintang (KMT) offered an apology Thursday for what it admitted was "ill-treatment" of presidential candidate Hung Hsiu-chu (洪秀柱) as the party prepares to nominate a new candidate to boost its campaign.
