Taiwan-based PC brand Acer Inc. (宏碁) said Thursday that it has teamed up with Taiwanese smartphone vendor HTC Corp. (宏達電) and several other high-tech giants around the world to set up a virtual reality association in hopes that their efforts will facilitate the pace of development of the VR industry.
