Taipower warns of energy shortages amid drought, maintenance work

Taiwan may be facing power shortages by May this year, the state-run Taiwan Power Co. (Taipower, 台電) warned Wednesday, citing problems related to an extended drought and maintenance work at the country's nuclear power plants.
