LNY garbage collection schedules in Taiwan's 6 major municipalities

Taipei, Feb. 9 (CNA) Garbage and recycling schedules will vary over the Feb. 14-22 Lunar New Year holiday. CNA has compiled the following collection information from the governments of Taiwan's six special municipalities.

Taipei

Regular service: Feb. 15-16 (Sun-Mon) No service: Feb. 17-19 (Tues-Thu) Extra service: Feb. 20 (Fri) Regular service resumes: Feb. 21 (Sat)

New Taipei

Extra service: Feb. 15 (Sun) Adjusted collection time: Feb. 16 (Mon) -- garbage collection will begin in the morning and end at 6 p.m. No service: Feb. 17-19 (Tues-Thu) Regular service resumes: Feb. 20 (Fri)

Note: Garbage can be dropped off at 70 designated locations across New Taipei from Feb. 17-19

Taoyuan

Extra service: Feb. 15 (Sun) Adjusted collection time: Feb. 16 (Mon) -- garbage collection will begin at 9 a.m. No collection in the evening. No service: Feb. 17-19 (Tues-Thu), Feb. 22 (Sun) Extra service: Feb. 20 (Fri) -- garbage collection will begin at 9 a.m. No collection in the evening. Regular service resumes: Feb. 21 (Sat)

Note: Fuxing Township will operate on a different collection schedule.

Taichung
