5 Japanese strawberry suppliers receive month-long import ban

Strawberries from five Japanese suppliers will be banned from entering Taiwan from Jan. 12 until Feb. 11 after multiple recent shipments failed to meet pesticide residue standards during border checks, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) said Tuesday.
