Taipei, Jan. 11 (CNA) Yamaha Motor Taiwan on Friday announced that it has become a wholly owned subsidiary of its Japanese parent, Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd., following the completion of an equity transfer.
In a news statement, Yamaha Motor Taiwan said that the move aimed to enhance resource integration between the parent and subsidiary companies as well as raise operational efficiency and service quality.
Yamaha Motor Taiwan's daily operations, financial flows, rights and obligations to its suppliers and dealers, current partnerships and transaction conditions would not be affected, the subsidiary said.
In a move to improve business and enhance resource utilization efficiency, Yamaha Motor Taiwan will also consolidate Yamaha Motor Electronics Co., Ltd., and Yamaha Motor Taiwan Trading Co., Ltd. to strengthen its technical development and business capabilities, the company added.
Yamaha Motor Taiwan recorded 125,928 motorcycle registrations in 2025, accounting for about 17.8 percent of the 708,406 motorcycle registrations nationwide that year.
