Aftershocks expected after magnitude 5.9 quake, chipmakers unaffected

Taipei, Sept. 30 (CNA) Minor aftershocks are expected after a magnitude 5.9 earthquake rattled a large part of Taiwan on Wednesday, although chipmakers based in northern Taiwan's Hsinchu City said their operations were not affected, according to the Central Weather Bureau.
