Taipei mulls ractopamine ban under self-government powers

Taipei, Oct. 21 (CNA) A Taipei City Council committee on Wednesday advanced a proposal to set penalties for the sale of pork containing ractopamine, a controversial livestock drug on which the central government plans to ease import restrictions from next year.
