China-based Taiwan exporters hit hard by rising yuan

The Chinese currency, or yuan, has risen 20 percent against the U.S. dollar since 2005, causing a serious impact on Chinese exporters, including export-reliant Taiwanese businesses operating in China which are now shifting their target to the mainland's domestic market, economists said Friday.
