Taiwan fends off 'attack'

06/07 18:15

Taiwan is holding its annual Han Kuang live fire military drills this week, and on Thursday, Taiwanese Air Force and Army soldiers enacted how they would defend a Taiwanese military base from an airborne invasion by an opposing force, widely believed to be mainland China. A total of 4,200 soldiers and reservists took part in today's exercise. For the first time, civilian drone companies were enlisted to launch surveillance drones. See how Taiwanese forces -- including attack helicopters and tanks -- respond when enemy paratroopers land on Taichung's Air Force base and try to take over, in this mock exercise.
