Members of the Truku indigenous tribe receive hunter certificates, which are valid for one year, at a ceremony in Xiulin Township, Hualien County, on Thursday. The Hualien Forestry Office and National Dong Hwa University have helped the Truku people to establish a hunters' union, in a bid to strike a balance between tradition and nature conservation.
