NIA defends amnesty policy for people who overstay visas

Taipei, Feb. 24 (CNA) The National Immigration Agency (NIA) on Sunday defended its policy to encourage foreign nationals who have overstayed their visas to turn themselves in after it was harshly criticized by an official with a crime control association.
