Police officer, precinct chief punished after bloody NTU clash

Taipei, Sept. 26 (CNA) Faced with criticisms after punishing a basic level police officer for dereliction of duty in the wake of a bloody clash at National Taiwan University (NTU) campus in Taipei, the city's police commissioner explained Tuesday that the decision was made to promote operational efficiency.
