Magnitude 5.7 earthquake hits eastern Taiwan

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck eastern Taiwan at 10:29 p.m. Wednesday, creating intensity-five jolts in Taitung County's Changbin and intensity-four quakes in Guangfu, Hualien County, according to the Central Weather Bureau.
