Avian flu hits duck farm for first time, 3,813 birds culled

Taipei, Jan. 16 (CNA) Following five outbreaks of avian influenza in Taiwan this year, the virus has been reported at a duck farm in northeastern Taiwan's Yilan County, resulting in the culling of 3,813 ducks, the Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine said Monday.
