Transportation minister rules out tailored legislation for Uber

Taipei, Nov. 14 (CNA) Despite great interest shown by Uber in the Taiwan market, the government is not considering special legislation that would allow the company to provide legal taxi services in the local market, Minister of Transportation and Communications Hochen Tan (賀陳旦) said on Monday.
