Weather in Taiwan forecast to stay hot with afternoon thundershowers

Temperatures are expected to rise to 35 degrees Celsius in northern Taiwan's Taipei and New Taipei on Friday, while occasional heavy afternoon thundershowers are likely across the island, according to the Central Weather Bureau.
