Southern Taiwan hit by strong earthquake; building toppled

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck southern Taiwan early Saturday, toppling at lease one high-rise building in Tainan City. There was no immediate report of casualties although dozens of people were said to have been trapped inside the collapsed building.
