Stricter water rationing to take effect in northern Taiwan

Stricter water rationing measures planned for Taoyuan and parts of New Taipei will take effect next month, even though rainfall in northern Taiwan last week helped raise water levels in Taoyuan's Shihmen Reservoir by almost three meters, officials said Sunday.
