Taxi fares in Taipei could rise 14%

Taipei, Jan. 29 (CNA) Taxi riders in the Greater Taipei area may have to budget 14 percent more for their rides after the head of Taipei's transport department said Thursday she was inclined to agree to a proposal to hike fares in Taipei, New Taipei and Keelung.
