Gov't seeks to allow foreign laborers to renew work without leaving

Taipei, Sept. 30 (CNA) The Ministry of Labor is seeking to remove a legal restriction that requires foreign laborers in Taiwan to leave the country after three years of work before they can continue working -- a process that can cost workers around NT$24,000 (US$788) in brokerage fees.
