Birthrate increases 0.5 percent in first eight months of 2014

Taipei, Sept. 20 (CNA) Between January and August this year, 132,470 babies were born in Taiwan, a 0.5 percent increase from the same period of 2013, according to statistics released Saturday by the Ministry of the Interior.
