DPP calls for Taiwan to help protect rights of actor Kai Ko

The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on Wednesday urged Taiwan's government to intervene in the case of Taiwanese actor Kai Ko (Ko Chen-tung), who the party said has been deprived of his basic rights since his detention in China on suspicion of illegal marijuana use.
