Taiwan to step up ferry safety measures after South Korea sinking

Taipei, April 21 (CNA) Taiwanese ferries will be subject to more inspections and rescue drills starting within a month, the Maritime and Port Bureau said last week, addressing safety concerns in the wake of the deadly disaster on the South Korean ferry Sewol.
