EDA Rhinos' manager died from heart attack, says team official

Taipei, Aug. 25 (CNA) Hsu Sheng-ming, the manager of professional baseball club EDA Rhinos, died after suffering a heart attack Sunday night, according to a spokesman for the club.

Hsu, 55, became ill after jogging with his wife near his Taipei house Saturday night, said the spokesmen.

He was brought by ambulance to Taipei City Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Hsu returned home Saturday evening after managing the Rhinos during their 3-2 victory over the Brother Elephants at Tianmu Baseball Stadium in Taipei, reported the spokesman.

Hsu had suffered from gout, high blood pressure and kidney disease, undergoing a kidney transplant in 2004.
