Lawmaker wants overseas 228 events to be organized by government

Los Angeles, Feb. 25 (CNA) A lawmaker of Taiwan's ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) suggested at a 228 Incident commemorative event in California on Saturday that such activities overseas should be organized by Taiwan's government instead of a civil group.
