Navy unclear why mistakenly fired missile did not self-destruct

The Navy will investigate why the self-destruct mechanism of a missile that was fired by mistake Friday morning was not activated before hitting a fishing boat, said Navy Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Mei Chia-shu (梅家樹).
