DPP's Tsai vows to greatly increase food safety budget, inspections

Taipei, Nov. 29 (CNA) Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文), chairwoman and presidential candidate of Taiwan's main opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), said Sunday that if elected in January, she will allocate 10 times more resources to food safety than are being used right now.
