KMT confirms appeal to have presidential nominee replaced

Taipei, Oct. 5 (CNA) With rumors rife that Hung Hsiu-chu (洪秀柱) will be replaced as the presidential candidate of the ruling Kuomintang (KMT), the party's spokesman admitted Monday that there were indeed voices inside the KMT asking that a new candidate be found.
