KMT senior member seeks replacement of presidential candidate

The ruling Kuomintang (KMT) has apparently been panicking at what it sees as the inferior strength of its candidate running for the presidency, evidenced by the intention of a member of its policy-making Central Standing Committee to seek a provisional party congress to reconsider if the candidate should be replaced.
