Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文), chairwoman of the main opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and its candidate in the 2016 presidential election, said Monday during a meeting with Kin Moy, director of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), that the party will continue to maintain close communications with the United States.
