Ex-DPP chief expresses shock at party's response to his proposal

Former Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Chairman Shih Ming-teh (施明德) on Tuesday said he was taken aback by what he called the rancorous personal attacks by the opposition party after he made proposal for an addition to the national electoral ballot.
