Taipei mayor calls for restraint on Chiang statues

Taipei, March 1 (CNA) The mayor of Taipei said Saturday that he will not tear down statues of the late President Chiang Kai-shek (蔣介石) as others have suggested and urged mutual respect for the different pasts suffered by Taiwan's various ethnic groups.
