Several hopefuls in the Nov. 29 election officially registered their candidacies Tuesday, including Taipei candidate Sean Lien and Taichung incumbent Jason Hu of the ruling Kuomintang (KMT) and Kaohsiung incumbent Chen Chu of the Democratic Progressive Party.
